'Joe' Lawrence Celebrates His First Feature Win With His Dad

Jordan Lawrence (#28) of London won his first-ever feature race in the Junior Division feature Wednesday evening. The race had one caution flag, and half of the drivers in the 10-car field were rookies with no previous race experience.

Izak Gordon (#18) of Thedford led the first lap of competition in the race before getting spun out in an early incident. By lap 2 Jordan Lawrence was in the lead holding his own. Later, as Jordan worked his way through lapped traffic, last week’s feature winner Bobby Pegg (#4) of Thamesford took the lead. He would continue to lead until lap 18 when Jordan Lawrence was able to get around him to earn the first checkered flag of his career. Izak Gordon took his first-ever heat race win earlier in the evening and Jordan Lawrence also won his heat race. Bobby Pegg ended up second, with Patrick Freel finishing third. The race contained 1 caution.
