Duane and the B.T. Racing Team celebrate a big win!

Duane Manning won his heat race and the Feature on Friday, June 15, 2007. What an awesome performance by Duane and the B.T. Racing Team on a special weekend (the one-year anniversary of Dave Lawrence's passing). Here's the Delaware Speedway race report:

"In the Peterbilt of Ontario Super Stock 25-lap feature race Duane Manning (#28) of Komoka would come out victorious in some of the best racing seen in the Peterbilt Super Stocks so far this year.

Jason Meyer (#93) of Courtland led the opening laps with Dave Silverthorne (#66) in tow. Manning meanwhile wasted no time challenging the Jeremiah Rabideau (#51) of Glencoe for third position. Manning and Rabidau got together off of turn two allowing Chad Rijnen (#2) of Thamesford to take advantage and move to third.

A number of laps later, the leader board would once again be shaken up when Rijnen (#2) and Silverthorne (#66) slowed in turn two. Manning was able to get around them to take second. He then set his sights on Meyer’s #93, which had gained a significant amount of track position. Manning ran consistent laps and it wasn’t long before he had caught and started to battle Meyer. Manning tried going high around the #93 with moderate success but was not able to complete the pass. It would be a low side pass off turn-two that would put Manning into the lead position.

As Manning held the lead, the car bobbled in turn two which led to a sudden battle between himself, the #87 of Ouellette, #2 of Rijnen, #77 of Lake & #24 of Richmond. The duel would take the drivers until the end of the race running two-by-two for Super Stock supremacy.

Manning would come out on top followed by #87 Ouellette, #2 Rijnen, #77 Lake, and #24 Richmond. It was an important win for the #28 team, coming one year following the passing of long time competitor Dave Lawrence.
